What do we provide?
Complex service
What good would a boiler installation guide be without letting you know what actually happens beforehand, on the day, and after a boiler fitting.
Any good gas engineer (and ours are excellent by the way) will try to make the process as simple as possible.
They’ll cover carpets, surfaces, bring the right materials with them and start working safely and efficiently, while adhering to all legislation.
Doing the job right means they’ll leave no trace of their visit, except maybe a few biscuit crumbs if you decide to spoil them.
Qualifications
All our engineers are Gas Safe certified and will begin by checking the number of radiators in your property, what the water pressure is like and the positioning of the current boiler and flue.
If we are doing a straightforward swap (eg: combi for combi) our engineers should be able to complete the job on the same day.
However, if we are replacing an if older system (or changing the boiler type), the installation may take longer.
Compliance
To comply with Building Regulations and Gas Safe rules, we will notify the relevant authorities whenever we install a new gas appliance.
We are designated as a ‘Competent Person’ and can provide you with a Building Regulations Certificate.
We will also provide you with a completed Benchmark Certificate to prove compliance.
Testing
Our engineers will test the gas supply and suitability of the wall for the boiler fitting.
They will make any necessary alterations to the pipework and add any support brackets needed for the new boiler.
The boiler and flue will then be fitted and we’ll carry out any electrical work needed to connect your new boiler.
User training
Once the installation is complete, our engineer will commission the new boiler and undertake a full test of the new heating system.
They will also demonstrate the new boiler controls and advise you on how to get the best out of the system, including showing you how to set both the most appropriate temperature level and the right timer settings for your daily schedule.
Guarantee
MacBrookGas provides a 2-year Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG) for each property. This is provided under the Quality Mark Protection scheme (formerly known as GDGC).
This guarantee is designed to provide financial protection to homeowners, in the event that an installer ceases to trade and is unable to honour their written guarantee. It provides homeowners with peace of mind is a measure of trust in the installer.
MacBrookGas Ltd provides its own written workmanship guarantee. This outlines a guarantee period, during which the we will return and fix any faults resulting from faulty workmanship. If anything should happen to our company during this period, the insurance backed guarantee comes into effect and takes over the guarantee period, providing an extra layer of financial protection.
